Delving into the world of bicycle route planning, I will uncover the assets of leveraging Traseo Map tools (Traseo.com), such as the proprietary vector map layer and route-planning algorithms, and how they have been used in numerous urban and regional apps for cyclists created by Amistad Mobile. I will focus on how these solutions have been utilised on the ground in Poland. Moreover, I will explore the opportunity which these apps present for local authorities to promote their trails and tourist attractions to the cycling community, such as the almost 2 million strong Traseo one.
